The Osun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo has declared Adegboyega Oyetola as the lawful winner of the July 16th, 2022 elections, having found ‘proof’ of over-voting.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that with this verdict, incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke has been sacked from office.
The tribunal, led by Justice Tetsea Kume, in a split document of two to one, declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Adeleke and issue the same to former Governor Oyetola.
There was a large deployment of security operatives across strategic points in Osogbo.
Armed police operatives were observed at the Osun State secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as the state office of the APC presidential campaign in Osogbo.
This is a recipe for wahala. Anyway, wonder if they can get the matter to the Supreme Court.
My dear, I TOTALLY Agree with you.
Recipe for wahala you say? But we are all in this country when APC was booted out of office in Bayelsa the last time and heaven did not fall. PDD has been found out and should bear the consequences of their actions. Long live Nigeria’s democracy.
It’s going to be wasting of time. This an eyes opener to all dick and Harry planning to rig coming election with some scrupulous INEC officials

Yes
Let hope the law enforcement agencies will be proactive to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
Nigeria! Nigeria!! Nigeria!!!
Awww this is terrible we shall wait and see
I knew it ll get to dis, as if dats d only tin in law our judiciary knows better.jst like dey did in imo state.our judicial system is a mess of an institution corrupt pple everywhere.
My brothers and sisters, I fear country Nigeria because anything can happen at any given point in time and second. Truly life no balance, though empathize with the EX. GOV. ADELEKE, the Lord is your strength, the God that do for you today, will equal do for you tomorrow. It’s very painful
Fine
Na wah oh!! Which kin ojoro is this APC.?
A glimpse of 2023 election
Another story again
Let Adeleke and Osun state PDP head to Supreme court. This a drama to me
Why are we so concerned pdp started it all the way and we av to end it with them, i take a deep breath
Congratulations to the progressive family. Oyetola all the way.
Ade dancer is gone ,sorry
PDP how far, appeal court straight
The case may still dragg on to the Supreme Court, the final place.
I can’t believe this is happening, it’s is very clear and obvious that Senator Ademola Adeleke is the rightful winner of the election, we the citizens and people of Osun state love him and want him as our Governor, we hope this judgement of the tribunal is not going to create problem and wahala in Osun state, God bless Osun state, God bless Nigeria
Wey let us all learn from history.
HE IS A GONER. FRAUD AND FORGERY DO NOT GO FOREVER!
Let him go continue his naked infirm market dance on the streets, not in any State house that holds promises and good programs for the people.
The forger admitted alos that election was RIGGED in just six places. WHAT A DOTE and afundamental DUNCE.
HE IS EVEN UNFIT AND NOT A GOVERNORSHIP MATERIAL!
ADELEKE JACKSON REMAINED AN EX-GOVERNOR OF OSUN STATE FOR EVER, AND HE WILL CONTNUE TO ENJOY EVERY FACILITIES AS EX-GOV. HAVING SPENT OVER HUNDRED DAYS IN OFFICE. EX-GOVERNOR OLUNLOYO SPENT JUST EIGHTY-THREE DAYS IN OFFICE BEFORE BUHARI-IDIAGBON LED GOVERNMENT SACKED LATE EX-PRESIDENT SHEHU SHAGARI FROM OFFICE THIRTY-FIVE YEARS AGO. GOD SAVES NIGERIA DEMOCRACY.
If Adeleke eventually loses out at appeal and supreme court (provided he appeals), he can never be referred to as ex governor cos his mandate is assumed to be fraudulent and illegal. He will be seen as if he never won before thus, he was never a governor. Olunloyo was not removed by tribunal. His mandate was not said to be fraudulent.
Adeleke case is different from oluloyo, oluloyo was not sack by tribunal but their government was toppled. So Adeleke can not enjoy the same benefits, as oluloyo. because he was sacked for over voting
i hofe you fas anything ,and good protact your enamy ,thank you ihofe my message will be consider .
That’s exactly what happened in Imo state and now imposing a party governor in Osun state. I smell dangerous outcome in the state.
Long ago, I smelled the death rat.Aggression do not help you to win , but only to keep you out of the game. Remember Mike Tlyson v/ Hollifeed.
.
Great comment. I hope you’ll be able to say same thing about Tinubu because sincerely speaking, fraud and forgery should not go forever
Haters of Adeleke .. you people don’t know anything until Nigeria collapse so you’re happy for Apc
Nija my country… When shall we get it right and get focused?
Wahala dey o. When shall these be over? Power drunkards
Good Micky!You are very correct!
Adeleke’s victory was nullified on account of overvoting. How did overvoting occur when BVAS was used? It means the election officials in the affected polling booths were compromised. They should be sought out, arrested and punished to serve as example.
The courts should not have the power to declare a different winner in election petition. If there are material irregularities in an election, the proper thing to do is to cancel the election and order a new one, rather than be doing arithmetic with votes to decide who is the winner
The politics of bitterness in Party syndrome of the winner take it all is also the cause of distrust and basis of government failure in nigeria. Yes the incumbent president never proved he ever been a scholar of a formal student from any known school in nigeria or abroad. The coming president neither do. What a nation. The peoples choice should overrule the party choice for a meaningful development to take place. God help us
It’s a perfect ojoro…. its a shamefulness as a ruling party which is Apc.. Adeleke is the winner… that’s mean Apc don’t no there job’s … If you mistakenly do so! I’m sorry for you’ll include me
Such is life
I thought the system they said was used is the bimodal technology that transmits result into inec server. So where comes this issue of over voting? Didn’t the electorates present their voter cards before been allowed to thumb print?
That’s the same question am asking
Good point and good question. Let INEC answer that. Who is fooling who.
Oyetola at last
The majority judgement which was read by the Chairman, Justice Tertse Kume said Oyetola scored the majority lawful votes of 314,931 against Adeleke’s 219,666.
Ask them again. Inec with their confusion
How long was he under investigation and what proof do dey have or did dey went back and recount the votes
All this sound Fishy
