BREAKING: Two killed on Lagos expressway [PHOTO]

Tens of motorists and commuters have been trapped for hours in the gridlock along Oshodi-Gbagada expressway on Monday.

Politics Nigeria gathered that the gridlock may not be unconnected with the killing of two yet-to-be-identified persons in an accident on the expressway.

According to eyewitnesses, the gridlock worsened when bystanders blocked both routes of the expressway, causing standstill in vehicular movement.

Consequently, the influx of vehicles plying the lanes to navigate their destinations inward the expressway further created a backlog of traffic that trapped many motorists.

Law enforcement officers were yet to arrive the scene as it the time of filing this report.
