Popular Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Umar Gana is dead. Gana, a strong member of the party in Kaduna died recently after a brief illness.
Reacting to the development, President Muhammadu Buhari, in a statement on Tuesday, mourned over the loss. The statement made available to POLITICS NIGERIA read;
“President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with the family, All Progressives Congress (APC), the government and people of Kaduna State over the passing of Alhaji Umar Gana Tuesday after a protracted illness.”
“The President recalls Alhaji Gana’s enormous contributions towards the successes recorded by the APC at the 2015 and 2019 presidential and governorship polls, during which he served as Coordinator and member of the Campaign Council respectively. “
“President Buhari prays that God will comfort the family of the dedicated departed politician and grant rest to his soul.”
