A former vice chancellor of the University of Abuja, Nuhu Yaqub is dead.
Yaquba, died on Saturday, January 4, 2025, the director general of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Abubakar Sulaiman said.
Sulaiman in a statement said the late former vice-chancellor served as the chairman of the Academic Advisory Board for the institute before his passing.
So describing Yaqub’s passing as shocking and devastating, Sulaimon said Yaqub left an indelible mark in Nigeria’s academic community.
He also stated that the late VC did his best in pushing for advanced education system and research.
He also extended his condolence to the family of the late former VC while praying to God for the repost of his soul.
