Professor Jachimike Adiele, an On-Air Personality (OAP) with Boss Radio 98.9FM Owerri, Imo State, has been abducted by some unknown gunmen, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
Prof. Adiele was kidnapped from the radio station just after anchoring a program “THE FORUM” on Saturday morning.
Co-host, Harriet Ijeomah, made the announcement via her known Facebook page.
“This is to inform the members of the public and peace-loving people of Imo State that after the Program “THE FORUM” some unidentified armed men stormed the premises of Boss Radio, Owerri, and abducted my Co-Host of the forum, Prof. Jachimike Adiele to an undisclosed location.
“We cannot confirm his whereabouts or his present state. I was just Lucky,” Ijeomah wrote.
In recent times, the preponderance of insecurity in Imo state has risen to alarming levels, sending most residents into a state of perpetual fear.
While the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, blamed opposition politicians for the spate of insecurity in the state, the Nigerian federal government often blames the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), for kidnappings and violent attacks occurring in South-east states.
