Some yet-to-be identified gunmen on Friday afternoon reportedly stormed the home of popular Islamic preacher, Abu Mardiy Oniyawometa Kewudirorun At-Thaqoofy at Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Oniyawometa of Al-Madrasatu An-Nabawiyah is a notable figure on social networking service, Facebook, where he regularly makes addresses.
He is a Sunni Muslim who often tackles Tasawwufs.
As of the time of publishing this report, POLITICS NIGERIA cannot independently confirm if the young preacher was harmed in the reported attack. However, sources close to him claim an attack indeed happened around 1PM today (Friday).
