BREAKING: US judge speaks on Tinubu’s emergency application to stop release of Chicago varsity records

Judge Nancy L. Maldonado of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has stayed action on the order on Chicago State University (CSU) granting the request made by Atiku Abubakar to request for the academic records of President Bola Tinubu.

Politics Nigeria reports that Judge Jeffrey T. Gilbert, sitting at the US District Court of Northern Illinois, had ordered the university to release all relevant records pertaining to President Tinubu’s admission and time at CSU to Atiku within two days.

President Tinubu appealled against the ruling of Judge Gilbert which ordered the CSU to release all relevant records pertaining to him.

Tinubu filed an emergency motion in the district, requesting a higher judge to reconsider Gilbert’s September 19 ruling and postpone the execution until at least September 25.

At an emergency hearing of the appeal on Thursday, Judge Maldonado stayed action on the order.

According to PeoplesGazette, the judge told the lawyer representing Chicago University, “You may not produce anything today, I’m not gonna rush anything now”.
