Usman Ododo has been sworn in as the fifth executive governor of Kogi State after he was elected in November 2023.
Ododo takes over from Yahaya Bello who just completed his second term in office.
Ododo took the oath of office at around 2:24 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at in Lokoja, the state capital.
His inauguration came just minutes after Salifu Joel Oyibo took his oath of office as the deputy governor of Kogi State.
Ododo defeated Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party and other contenders in the keenly contested governorship election.
