The Justice Ayo Salami-led probe panel has submitted its report on alleged corruption charges against suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, to President Muhammadu Buhari.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the panel led by a retired judge of the President of the Appeal Court, Justice Ayo Salami. led the panel to the State House, Abuja, on Thursday to submit the report. The panel submitted boxes of documents containing the report to the President.
Recall that President Buhari inaugurated the panel in July and was given 45 days to carry out the assignment but the timeframe was extended further after the panel requested more time. The panel was set to probe the allegations of corruption and abuse of office leveled against Magu by the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
