Buhari should accept Obasanjo’s advice in peace – Secondus

...urges Buhari to ensure free and fair Edo election

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Uche Secondus, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to accept the advice given by former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the state of the nation.

Secondus made this known in a statement by his media aide, Ike Abonyi, on Sunday while reacting to the reply given by the Media Adie to the President, Garba Shehu, to Obasanjo’s statement.

He cautioned the Buhari government against abusing and disrespecting Obasanjo who fought for the unity of the country, rather urged the government to accept the advice given by the former President.

The PDP leader noted that the current state of affairs required all patriotic men and women to stand up and speak up against the trend.

“President Muhammadu Buhari and his ruling All Progress Congress (APC) should dispose themselves to absorbing the words of wisdom and stop grandstanding even as the nation under their watch is going down,” he said.

Secondus also charged the President to ensure that this weekend’s election in Edo State was a true reflection of the wishes of the people of the state.
