Pakistan’s Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar invited Nigerian investors to invest in the province during a meeting with the High Commissioner of Nigeria Abioye Mohammed Bello on Wednesday.
The two dignitaries also discussed other matters to promote bilateral cooperation in various sectors, such as agriculture, tourism, IT, sports goods, textile, and pharmaceutical industries.
The chief minister invites Nigerian investors to take part in the current work on 12 special economic zones and the industrialization process in eight new special economic zones.
He also pointed out a couple of other opportunities to further expand the trade relations between the two countries. The exchange of trade delegations will enhance the economic ties and also mutually benefit Pakistan and Nigeria.
“A facilitation centre has been established at the CM office to ensure ease for local and foreign investors and it is noteworthy that a conducive atmosphere was provided for investment,” added Chief Minister Buzdar.
These investors will have access to high government officials through the facilitation centre. A zero-NOC policy is also starting to enter the province, which can lead to a new investment arena.
The high commissioner also used the opportunity to appreciate the efforts led by Chief Minister Buzdar to facilitate the Nigerian investors.
