Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has stated that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) didn’t confirm President Bola Tinubu as an asset.
Prominent journalist, David Hundeyin, had in a social media post shared documents suggesting that the American intelligence service confirmed Tinubu as its asset.
“That is a preposterous lie. The CIA never constructively, effectively, or unintentionally confirmed or affirmed that President Bola Tinubu is a CIA asset.
“Almost every day in the United States, different individuals, agencies, and even government departments file Freedom of Information Act requests targeted at the CIA.
“The CIA is notorious for denying these FOIA requests using exactly the same language, which was quoted today by some persons who have come to the conclusion that the verbiage somehow confirms that President Bola Tinubu is a CIA asset.
“There are several cases that Nigerians wishing to have insight into this matter can research. In fact, thousands.
“The document in question does not confirm or suggest that Bola Tinubu is a CIA asset by any stretch of the imagination. Please read it for yourself instead of reading the conclusions of other people,” Omokri stated.
