Coca-Cola Nigeria VP to speak at 27th Nigerian Economic Summit

Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited VP and managing director Alfred Olajide has been named one of the speakers at the 27th Nigerian Economic Summit on October 25 at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

This year, the summit is centred around the theme “Securing Our Future: The Fierce Urgency of Now”.

“I am honoured to be part of this remarkable event as we work towards advancing the country’s growth together,” Olajide said.

“At Coca-Cola, we reinforce our relationships with the communities with which we interact, contributing to our ability to serve the market and maintain our social license to operate.”

Olajide was appointed to lead Coca-Cola Nigeria in January, replacing Yebeltal Getachew, whose tenure ended last year. He has committed to improving many vital elements for Nigerians, such as water stewardship, women empowerment, and youth development.

The director holds a first-class bachelor’s degree from the University of Ibadan and completed his MBA degree from the University of Leicester, UK.

“Coca-Cola is proud to be serving this great nation’s consumers. Our system is part of the fabric of Nigeria’s economic development and we continue to invest in the country to create jobs and stimulate growth across our supply chain,” Olajide added.

“I am excited to learn from other industry thought-leaders and to share key insights and findings of our own.”

The Nigerian Economic Summit is an annual event administered by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) and supported by the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget, and National Planning.
