Former Governor of Osun State and Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, on Monday, distributed food to residents of Ile Ife in Osun to cushion the effect of Coronavirus curfew in the state.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the food items distributed include bags of rice, beans, garri, tubers of yams and noddles.
It was learned that the distribution was carried out by Sikiru Ayedun, former Commissioner for Home Affairs in Osun.
The relief materials were given to leader Religious leaders, leaders of transport workers, head of markets and grassroots political leaders.
Reacting to this development, Taiwo Adedinni, Leader, Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ife East Branch, said Mr Aregbesola should be applauded for remembering home even when he is no longer the governor.
