“Stop using Seyi Tinubu for cheap publicity” – Pro-Tinubu group warns NANS

A non-governmental organisation, The City Boy Movement, has strongly condemned what it described as a malicious and unfounded report by an online news platform, alleging that Seyi Tinubu sponsored thugs to disrupt the purported inauguration of a faction of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) led by Isa Atiku Abubakar.

In a statement this weekend, Francis Tosin Shoga, Director General of the movement, dismissed the claims as baseless, asserting that they were part of a desperate attempt to tarnish the image of Seyi Tinubu.

Shoga said: “As the Director General of the City Boy Movement, I categorically reject these baseless fabrications designed to tarnish the impeccable character of Barr. Seyi Tinubu.

“The allegations are desperate attempts at character assassination without a shred of evidence.”

Shoga described claims of being “stripped naked” and “forced to make videos under duress” as a melodramatic performance, unworthy of serious public attention.

He said: This is the 21st century, not a stage for coordinated theatrics. Such claims are clearly aimed at blackmailing and stirring sympathy without merit.”

The City Boy Movement reiterated that Seyi Tinubu has always promoted youth empowerment, peaceful dialogue, and responsible leadership.

According to Shoga, dragging his name into student politics is unwarranted and malicious.

“Seyi Tinubu has consistently championed development-driven initiatives and youth engagement. He does not meddle in organisational squabbles, let alone sponsor violence,” Shoga affirmed.

The group further warned those behind the allegations to desist or face legal consequences.

“We will not allow opportunists to exploit Seyi Tinubu’s name for cheap publicity,” the statement read.

The City Boy Movement also urged Nigerian youths to reject divisive propaganda and focus on constructive engagement.
