The Federal Government has reacted to the reports that confirmed Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, tested positive for Coronavirus.
Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, spoke with Journalists in the state’s House on Tuesday afternoon when questioned about the status of Kyari.
While he did not confirm the reports, he also did not deny the claim that Buhari’s close ally is affected by COVID-19.
“We don’t mention names in carrying out this responsibility. It’s a global practice so you don’t expect us to mention any name to you,” he told State House correspondents.
Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and other members of the task force, comprising ministers and health experts, spent about 10 minutes inspecting Kyari’s office on Tuesday.
This newspaper earlier reported that Nigeria now has 42 cases. Two have been discharged and one person have been confirmed dead.
