The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has finally issued a statement on his health status after testing positive for coronavirus.
Mohammed in a statement issued via Twitter revealed that he has been in isolation for a few days and is doing ‘well’. He added that he is not exhibiting symptoms of the illness and urged family and well-wishers to remain calm. He wrote;
“As you may all know, I just tested positive to the coronavirus. I have been in Isolation for the past few days, and I will remain in isolation until I get clearance from the doctors.
“I am in good health and showing no symptoms. I urge everyone to stay calm and not panic. We will Overcome.”
It will also be recalled that the chief of staff to the President, Abba Kyari tested positive for the virus earlier today and has been quarantined. Aso-rock is currently under lockdown and several staff are set to undergo tests for the virus.
