COVID-19: Inside details Of newly confirmed case involving 6-week-old baby in Nigeria

On Wednesday, Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, announced newly confirmed five cases of COVID-19.

The new cases bring the total number of cases recorded in Nigeria to eight.

While briefing the press in Abuja, Mr. Ehanire said the five newly affected individuals came into Nigeria from the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

He also confirmed that Nigeria records the youngest victim, a six-week-old baby, who came into Nigeria with her mother from the U.S.

In all, Nigeria now has a total of six and two foreigners (one Italian and American) battling with the virus with no record of death in the country.

Before now, POLITICS NIGERIA reported how the Federal Government banned travelers from 13 countries with high coronavirus cases. It also placed travel ban on public officials and suspension of visa on arrival policy.

It expected that all persons returning from overseas self-isolate themselves for observation for 14-days.
