The Emir of Gudi in Nassarawa State, Alhaji Sule Bawa, has been admitted to the isolation center at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia, the state capital.
It was learned that the monarch is also the father to the state Governor, Abdullahi Sule. Reports have it that the district head developed a fever and started coughing unabated and was rushed to the VIP section of the hospital on Wednesday.
Following the development, a team of health experts has fumigated the Palace of the traditional ruler and that of the Personal residence of the Governor on Thursday.
However, it is not clear whether the monarch contracted Coronavirus, as he often gets visits from his subjects especially on market days.
Governor Sule has said samples of suspected cases in the state have been collected and sent to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in Abuja for testing.
