The Yobe State government has applauded the residents of the state for their cooperation with the government on measures put in place to curb coronavirus.
The governor, Mai Mala Buni, made the commendation in a statement on Friday signed by his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed.
“The governor commended Community and religious leaders, trade unions and associations for cooperating with the Covid19 state committee and taking the campaign to the grassroots”, part of the statement read.
“Governor Buni gave glory to God for the safety so far enjoyed against the disease and called on the people not to relent in prayers.
“The governor assured that the government will continue to live up to its responsibilities of providing the people with the desired support at all times.”
As at the time of filing this report, Nigeria has confirmed 65 cases of COVID-19.
