With the forthcoming Local Government election in Kano State, candidates have been mandated to undergo psychiatric evaluation.
This was disclosed by the chairman of the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), Sani Malumfashi on Friday at a press briefing in Kano.
According to Malumfashi, all candidates contesting the local government poll in the State must undergo the evaluation before participating in the October 26 elections.
Recall that the commision had earlier conducted drug tests on the aspirants contesting for chairmanship and councilorship elections.
However, Malumfashi said psychiatric doctors would be invited for this particular evaluation.
