Deji Adeyanju opens up on ‘collecting money from Atiku’

Deji Adeyanju, a former Youth Leader and Director of New Media of Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Tuesday swore that he has “never collected a kobo” from Abubakar Atiku, presidential candidate of the party.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Adeyanju is the Convener of the pro-democracy organisation, Concerned Nigerians.

Although he claims he is not presently into partisan politics, his comments on national issues, especially his views on the candidacy of Peter Obi, presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP), are not well-received by the former Anambra State governor’s supporters on social media.

Responding to a taunt by a social media user who insinuated that Atiku will release money to him, the social critic wrote on his known Twitter handle: “I have never collected a kobo before in my life from Atiku and if I have ever done so may it not be well with me forever but Peter Obi your candidate has collected billions from him I’m sure. In fact, they bought votes together during the last general election.”
