Deji Adeyanju speaks on Atiku displacing Buhari before 2023

A one-time youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday said former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, will not replace President Muhammadu Buhari before 2023.

Adeyanju was reacting to a case at a Court of Appeal in Abuja seeking the removal of Buhari as president.

Recall POLITICS NIGERIA reported that the matter, instigated by the Incorporated Trustees of the Civil Society Observatory for Constitutional and Legal Compliance, was adjourned till May 18, 2022.

The civil society group had filed an appeal seeking the dismissal of Buhari for alleged false affidavit in the 2019 general elections. They want Atiku, the candidate of the PDP, who came second in the last presidential election to be declared Nigeria leader. But outspoken Adeyanju feels the civil society group is all out to “extort Atiku”.

“Atiku is not coming anywhere. Buhari will complete his tenure. Those planting these senseless stories just want to extort Atiku and he knows this,” Adeyanju, who runs the NGO, Concerned Nigerians, wrote on his known Twitter handle.

  1. Deji Adeyanju is now acting as a busy body attacking dog, probably to gain relevance and attention. Why not allow individual exercise their rights and not dictate to the court how it does its Const assigned duty. You are becoming too reckless these days..
