The ruling All Progressives Congress has reportedly postponed its National Executive Council meeting scheduled to hold on Tuesday.
POLITICS NIGERIA understands that the postponement may not be disconnected from the party’s internal crisis. It will be recalled that the party has been embroiled in a serious crisis with many calling for the removal of the party chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
This development is coming a day after the national leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu published an open letter addressing the crisis currently rocking the party. He, however, expressed his total confidence and support of Oshiomhole’s leadership.
The postponement was announced by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Atiku Bagudu who doubles as Kebbi State governor on Monday afternoon.
The announcement came after the governors after the governors met with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mr Buhari thereafter, endorsed the suggestion to postpone the NEC meeting.
