Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has warned the Federal government against releasing dreaded Fulani herdsman, Iskilu Wakili.
Wakili has been accused of being responsible for several deaths and Kidnappings in Oyo state. POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that Wakili was arrested a few days ago by members of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC and handed over to the Police. However, things took a surprising turn as the police also arrested the OPC members.
In a series of tweets, FFK warned against any plan to release Wakili adding that it would destroy the peace process currently being worked on between Farmers and Herders. “I call for the immediate release of the OPC heroes who arrested the monster called Wakili and who handed him over to the authorities in one piece.”
“Under no circumstance should Wakili be set free. If that were to happen for any reason, it would threaten and jeopardize the peace process that has been put in place very badly, and it would cause many to lose faith and hope in what we are trying to achieve.”
