Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State on Thursday advised Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election to ignore the criticism from Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that in a lengthy article published on Monday, Soludo had said Obi knows that “he can’t and won’t win” the presidential election.
He maintained that Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, was not ready for the presidential race, declaring he was merely playing a game.
But speaking during the commissioning of the Nkpolu-Oroworukwo flyover in Port Harcourt, Wike aimed a subtle dig at Prof. Soludo.
“I know you (Obi) worked very well in Anambra. ‘Bad belle’, envy is everywhere. Even me here, there are those that are fighting me, bad belle.
“So, some people because of the level you are, they are envying you in your state, they can come out and say all kinds of rubbish. Don’t worry, that is how it is. It is your own person that will kill you. So don’t bother about those things.
“I’ve always told people, when you are given opportunity to serve, use it and showcase what you can do. Stop criticising somebody who has already left.
“You have been giving the opportunity now, show it. I’m a Professor, professor well. I’m a doctor, doctor well, I’m a lawyer, lawyer well, I’m a mechanic, mechanic well,” Wike said.
Obi commissioned the Nkpolu-Oroworukwo flyover in Port Harcourt alongside his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.

Soludo has no solution to lead Anambra State anywhere. Honestly speaking he is a mistake. He doesn’t know what to do again. he has no focus at all. One of the most foolish governor ever who focus more on another man’s projects. You left Obiano who dash you the position to attack Peter Obi. A man that kept clean sheet. Prof indeed.
