A recently surfaced video has captured a tense moment at the Aso Villa in Abuja, as security operatives prevented former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, from entering a door designated for Vice President Kashim Shettima.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the incident, which has gained attention on social media, highlights a clash of access privileges within the highly secured premises.
The event took place shortly after a meeting between President Bola Tinubu and former governors at the Presidential Villa on Monday.
Among those present were Governor David Umahi, and Nyesom Wike together, with Akpabio, who has been touted as the preferred candidate for the position of Senate President by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In the video, Akpabio can be seen momentarily taken aback and appearing disgraced as he is prevented by security personnel from following Shettima through the door.
