A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adigun Abass, was recently captured struggling to express himself while attempting to pass a motion in the House.
The representative for Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency in Oyo state, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was visibly struggling to articulate his points, which the Speaker Tajudeen Abbas intervened and guided him through the motion.
Despite the Speaker’s efforts, Hon. Abass continued to struggle, and after several failed attempts, he was allowed to return to his seat.
Following the embarrassing incident, many have gone on social media to question his credentials as well as other individuals who represent constituents in the National Assembly.
However, some have rallied around him, praising his achievements in his constituency. One commenter noted that Hon. Agboworin is a performer, citing his many empowerment schemes, but noted that his communication skills need improvement. Another constituent added that they are not bothered about his English, given that he has countless projects in his constituency, including scholarships, security, and infrastructure, to his name.
