The Department of State Security (DSS) on Wednesday rescued aid workers in Borno in collaboration with men of other state security agencies.
The aid workers, numbering five, were abducted by members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) on December 22, 2019 on Monguno-Maiduguri road, Borno state.
The aid workers-Jennifer Samuel Ukumbong and Asabe Cletus Musa of the Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA); Adamu Auwal and Arthur Ibojekwe China of Solidarity International; and George Danbaba Michael of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM)-are reported to be in good health.
