Edo 2020: Ize-Iyamu speaks on outcome of APC Governorship screening

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the leading governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has finally reacted to the outcome of the party’s governorship screening.

In a statement signed on Friday by John Mayaki, the Director of Communication and Media of his Campaign Organization, Ize-Iyamu appreciated the screening committee for doing an excellent job and carrying out a thorough job.

He also urged stakeholders of the party to close ranks to ensure its electoral victory. Ize-Iyamu added that the screening exercise has revealed the true spirit and character of APC premised on a bold insistence on fairness, accountability, and transparency.

He said: “I wish to send my deepest gratitude to all the members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, for a joyful cooperation that led to a seamless but thorough screening exercise.

“The progress made today by completing this exercise reveals the true spirit and character of our party premised on a bold insistence on fairness, accountability, and transparency.

“On my own part, having passed the screening tests, I want to state my consistent readiness to take the will of the party as the ultimate, regarding its laws and principles as the supreme guide for the execution of our affairs and assignments.

“I urge all the members of our party whose indefatigable commitment, loyalty, and cooperation has led to the success we experienced in recent times, to remain focused and committed to our general ambition as a party, and in the same vein pursuant of our personal political dreams in light of our progressive philosophy.

“As we prepare for the primaries and the election itself, it is time we bind together and close ranks, remembering that the greatest goal is the progress of Edo State, the moving forward of our great homeland, and the betterment of life for all of its people.”

  1. NO, YOU GUYS FAILED IT AT THIS POINT. THE WAY OBASEKI WAS DISQUALIFIED WAS NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW. AS YOU CONSULTED UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN, DID YOU CONSULT THE NYSC? OR THE OTHER INSTITUTION OF HIGHIER LEARNING HE ATTENEDED FOR VARIFICATIONS? I AM NOT SURE. THIS IS THE BEGINNIG OF APC PROBLEM IN EDO, I KNOW THAT ON THE DAY OF THE ELECTION, THEY WILL USE POLICE AND OTHER SECURITY AGENCIES TO RIG THE ELECTION BUT I THINK THEY HAVE WAIT FOR THEMSELVES IN THE COURT LIKE IN ZAMFARA HERE. TINUBU AND OSHIOMOLE THINK THAT WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. GOOD LUCK FOR THEM ON THIS ONE.
