Presidential Tribunal: ”We must occupy Abuja today” – Charly Boy tells Obidients

Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, on Tuesday called on supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, known as “Obidients”, to occupy all streets in Abuja ahead of today’s judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

The veteran musician, TV host and activist made the call via his X page.

Charly Boy stressed that the move was necessary to retrieve their mandate, which he claimed was stolen.

His words:

“Fellow Obidients, anyhow, we must occupy all the streets of Abuja before 6 am. We will start with all the streets surrounding court house. Nobody is dying tomorrow; we know about their scare tactics.

“We must retrieve our stolen future from these criminals or be ready to face the most horrific hardship ever. There is nothing to fear; most of us are already down because of these seasoned criminals in power.

“We must show dem say our Mumu don Belleful us. Their fathers.”

The tribunal is expected to deliver its verdict today as Obi of the LP and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party are challenging incumbent Bola Tinubu’s declaration as the 2023 presidential election winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The Nigeria Police Force had earlier warned against violent protests ahead of the tribunal’s verdict.

  1. This is Nigeria with its tribal sentiments, in spite of the ongoing hardships being experienced by Nigerians some people are still going to prefer to endure with this APC government because this is their own, no matter what anybody says they are not going to protest Remember, the owner of air peace Mr onyema and other well informed people have already lamented that Nigeria cannot progress because of tribal sentiments and politics, When former President Jonathan mean well for Nigerians these set of people said no, he must be removed from office, they said he is most corrupt, who is not corrupt among these people now? But we know Goodluck Jonathan was and is still better than Tinubu, Buhari and all of them combined together
