EFCC investigates Hajj commission chairman over alleged corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is reportedly investigating Saleh Usman, chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), over allegations of corruption.

According to media reports, Usman appeared before the anti-graft agency earlier on Tuesday and was granted bail after questioning.

He was directed to report to the EFCC office daily pending the conclusion of the investigation.

Sources say his security clearance for entry into the presidential villa has been revoked while the probe continues.

Usman joins a long list of serving and former government officials currently on the radar of the EFCC.

Ola Olukoyede, EFCC chairman, recently vowed that no official found guilty of corruption will be spared, no matter how highly placed.
