EFCC Quietly Dismisses Two Senior Officers

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed two of its senior officers for beating a junior officer, Abel Isah, to death at the Sokoto Zonal Command in Northwest Nigeria.

Sahara reporters had reported that Isah was brutally killed after his refusal to ratify on incomplete exhibits handed over to him.

Isah’s compeers in the organization are dejected with the punishment for murder or manslaughter, which they believe should be more severe than just dismissal.

According to source, Isah’s superior officers were angry with him for refusing to be part of the illegality and subsequently heavily descended on him.

Isah was from Plateau State and will be buried on Saturday in his home town.

When SaharaReporters called the spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwajaren, he promised to find out about the incident and get back to our correspondent.
