The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called for peace, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria as Muslims mark Eid-ul-Mawlid.
This mark the commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
In a statement issued on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the ruling party congratulated the Muslim Ummah and Nigerians at large on the celebration.
The APC noted that the life and teachings of the Prophet offer timeless lessons on peace, unity, justice, compassion, tolerance, and moral leadership.
“The Prophet’s message of peace and reconciliation, justice and fairness, and compassion for the poor and vulnerable beckons on us to work for unity of our country.
“We uphold accountability at all levels, show kindness to the less privileged, and foster peaceful coexistence in our pluralist society,” the statement read.
The party added that these values align with the vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which it said is committed to rebuilding public trust, strengthening democratic institutions, expanding economic opportunities, and improving the living conditions of Nigerians.
