“Ekiti election has demystified theory of structure” – Olisa Metuh

A former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, on Sunday said Saturday’s Ekiti State Governorship election “has demystified the theory of structure”.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner of the election.

Nigeria’s main opposition party, the PDP emerged third in the election, with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) coming second.

Reacting to the outcome of the poll, Metuh wrote on his known Facebook page: “The Ekiti gubernatorial election has demystified the theory of structure. Let no party be dismissed on lack of structure. Nigerians are voting for individuals (some for shishi).

“Fortunately for the first time we have an array of experienced candidates who have excelled in creating financial empires.

“Campaign for your candidate but do not deride and/or dismiss any candidate on basis of structure.

“And for those candidates who were imposed by their parties in their states, ndonu, sorry o.”

  1. Olisa Metuh got it wrong yet again.

THE APC REMAINS A WELL-KNOWN STRUCTURED PARTY.

Including, the SDP and PDP that came second and third respectively in the Ekiti election were both identified as parties with structures. The SDP right from the days of the Babangida era reactivated and reawakens its tentacles. While PDP has been around with a dwindling image, yet still properly structured to feature in the contest in Ekiti.

ALL OTHER PARTIES THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE ELECTION IN EKITI CAME DISTANT FINISHERS. THEY ENDED WITH LESS THAN A THOUSAND VOTES EXCEPT ONE. WHILST THE LEADING STRUCTURE PARTIES SCORED IN THE MULTIPLE OF THOUSANDS.

    APC had about 187,000 votes.
SDP came second with about 82,000 votes and
PDP lagged behind the leading contenders with votes cast of about 60,000+.

THEREFORE, WHOEVER ALLUDED TO A NON-FACTUAL SENTIMENT THAT STRUCTURE DID NOT PLAY ANY ROLE OR WAS RELEGATED MUST BE IN ANOTHER WORLD.

Perhaps, because he just emerged from the gulag that might have impaired and or impacted the thinking and or thoughts processing segments of his brain.
