Ahead of the July 16 governorship election in Osun State, over 500 supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Boripe Local Government Area (LGA) have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defectors were received into the APC at a rally held in Iragbiji, the hometown of the State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
They reaffirmed their readiness to support Governor Oyetola with their votes in next month’s election.
Addressing the crowd that attended the rally, Oyetola commended them for supporting his administration.
He assured that if re-elected, his second term “would be more rewarding and resourceful, as the first term was a foundation for a brighter future.”
