The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2023 election, Adewole Adebayo, has described the election petitions by the opposition as “doomed”.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party respectively have approached the presidential election tribunal to challenge the outcome of the 2023 election.
The president-elect, Bola Tinubu secured 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku who polled 6,984,520 votes, and Obi who had 6,101,533 votes in the election held on February 25.
But Adebayo said it is better to be focused on tackling the problems Nigeria is confronted with than ‘obsession with doomed election petitions’.
“Top ten priorities of Nigeria:1. revenue loss 2.inflation, 3.insecurity 4. Jobs, 5.rule of law, 6.infrastructure 7.Agro-industrialisation 8. Forex 9. Debt and 10 education. Better to tackle those than obsess with doomed election petitions or engaging hysterical mobs. Time runs fast,” Adebayo wrote on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday.
Adebayo let me tell you , you and your evil cohort can’t deceive us again please since you have been focusing on what faces nigeria with same set of devil what have you achieved…
