Concerned Niger Delta Progressive Forum (CNDPF) has commended Mr Udom Emmanuel for the development strides in Akwa Ibom when he was governor of the state.
The group members made this known in a statement made available to Politics Nigeria after they visited some of the different projects executed by the former governor.
According to CNDPF, group members are currently appraising the performance of all present and former governors in the south-south region.
Chief Ifeanyi Smith and William Brown led the group.
Leaders of the group in the statement insisted that they were surprised to see that the former governor has changed the face of Akwa Ibom state.
According to them, Emmanuel has turned the state into a tourist attraction, making it a delightful place for all.
‘Ibom Air is a signature project, the smart building in Uyo is the first of it’s kind by any past and present government in Nigeria. We are happy no see the state of transformations in Akwa Ibom,’ the group said.
Going further, CNDPF members praised Mr Emmanuel for building functional industries. The group also noted that foreigners as a result of this, have started investing in the state.
‘Our visits to syringe manufacturing company, flour Mill and other facilities has given us hope in the region. The foundation laid by Mr Emmanuel is a pride to south south people,’ the group added.
The group also appreciated him for a peaceful transition of power to Pastor Bassey Umo Eno.
