Lekki Concession Company, LCC, has promised to provide the footage of the shooting of protesters at thè Lekki toll plaza on October 20.
Speaking during the visit of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality to the scene of the incident on Friday, Managing Director of the company, Abayomi Omomuwa said the footage is still intact.
Omomuwa revealed that the company has not carried out a private investigation or documentation of the shootings. He told the panel that the company is waiting for the report of the investigation of the committee.
He said the purpose of taking the panel around the scene of the shootings is to familiarise the panel with what it is now, compared to what it was before the shootings. Omomuwasan also disclosed that most of their equipment was damaged by suspected hoodlums.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the nine-man panel was led by its Chairman, Justice Doris Okuwobi (retd.), to Lekki Toll Plaza, the scene of the shootings.
Speaking at the scene of the incident, Justice Okuwobi said the purpose of the visit is to have proceedings based on their findings from the visit.
