#EndSARS Memorial: “IPOB/ESN hoodlums took advantage” – Adamu Garba opens up

Ex-presidential aspirant of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, Adamu Garba, on Thursday said that “hoodlums’ with allegiance to the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN), took advantage of the #EndSARS protest on October 20, 2020, to wreak havoc in Lagos.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Lagos, Nigeria’s economic hub, was left devastated by the activities of hoodlums in October 2020.

The city was ravaged by lawbreakers in the days after the #EndSARS protest, leaving many parts of the state with burnt buildings, looted shops and destroyed properties.

No fewer than 27 buildings, including police stations, media houses, government secretariats, and the court were attacked and left in ruins.

On the #EndSARS Memorial day, Garba wrote on his verified Twitter handle: “This was the day when Jack (Dorsey, former Twitter CEO) wants to take advantage of the #EndSARS struggle to burn our country for his interest, we stopped him.

“Also some ESN/IPOB hoodlums took advantage to attack our country’s infrastructure, we stopped them. Aren’t we the most resilient humans on earth?”
