Nigeria’s Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi has disclosed that hoodlums responsible for burning down the headquarters of the Nigerian ports Authority, NPA in Lagos will be brought to book.
The building was burned down about a month ago after #EndSARS protests in the state degenerated into violence. Amaechi alongside the DG of the NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman visited the scene of the incident on Sunday.
Several vehicles and properties worth millions of naira were consumed in the Inferno. Amaechi in a statement via social media wrote;
“We toured the nigerian ports H/Q today & it wasn’t a good sight. If people are arrested for the crime perpetrated, they will not do it again.”
“We have to go after the hoodlums & ensure they pay. The right to protest is defined in the laws of the land, it doesn’t include burning.”
