Prof. Kunle Olawunmi, a former Naval commodore has alleged that there are a group of individuals in Nigeria who are bent on Islamising the country.
According to him, he has personally interrogated people in the Muhammadu Buhari government on the issue of Boko Haram, and found “a senior officer” culpable. However, “he was let go”.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily programme on Wednesday morning about the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) attack that occurred in Kaduna on Tuesday, Olawunmi indicted some serving senators/governors and some friends of the president as sponsors of terrorism in Nigeria.
”You see, we must say the truth. Because if we don’t, this country is going down. We have been set back more than 60 years. Whoever is coming back to repair this country has a lot of work to do.
”This country has never been this polarized.
”My loyalty is federal, but I cannot come here and try to be sentimental, ‘no’,” he said.

Buhari is indeed a disapointment. A man that we thought was a nationalist, detribalised Nigerian and one who is not a religious bigot. What we are seeing now is something else. Why should a man that fought for the unity of Nigeria will now be peddling and laundering an Islamic agenda. Haagh.

It is very obvious that comm Olawunmi is speaking the basic truth. There are several vampires everywhere in the corridors of power. The nation is being held hostage and Bihari appears to be at the center of it all. This is why the battle for independence by nationalities is rife, can only be temporarily subdued, but remains way to go.
