Senator Sehu Sani, a Federal lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial district, has claimed that there is a beehive of commercial activities in home towns of former service chiefs.
Sani disclosed this on Sunday morning via his Twitter account. According to him, the federal government has budgeted trillions into the country’s security agencies, the military, yet it lacks the necessary defense hardwares to combat the insurgents ravaging the North East region of the country.
He wrote, ”For years, the Government pumped trillions into Defence and the military remains without adequate weapons and equipments to fight the terrorists; All you see is Shopping Malls,Event Centers and Hotels; And Universities located in the villages of the former service Chiefs.”
However, the federal government has recently announced that Nigeria would receive the delivery of six out of the 12 units of fighter aircraft it ordered in mid-July 2021 which are to be deployed in the war against terror in the country.
