Ex-Speaker Yakubu Dogara bags new role as Tinubu announces fresh appointments

A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogora has been appointed by President Bola Tinubu as the Chairman of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC) Boar.

Dogara’s appointment was announced by the presidency on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

In addition to this, the president appointed Bonaventure Okhaimo to serve as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NCGC.

Other key appointments approved by President Tinubu are Tinoula Aigwedo,  Executive Director of Strategy and Operations; Ezekiel Oseni, Executive Director, Risk Management and Yeside Kazeem, Independent Non-Executive Director.

Also, President Tinubu launched the NCGC, an initiative which would be supported by with an initial fund of N100 billion.

The company through the government funding with help to bridge the gap in the risks associated with lending and increase financial access for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), small businesses, manufacturers, consumers, and larger companies throughout Nigeria.
