Former Governor of Borno state, Ali Modu-Sheriff has been pictured taking a COVID-19 test in his Abuja home recently.
It will be recalled that the Sheriff was mired in controversy after the social distancing directive was grossly violated at his father’s burial ceremony last month. It was widely reported that Sheriff ‘avoided’ taking the test and absconded to Abuja.
However, he submitted himself for a test after several dignitaries expressed disappointment in his actions and urged him to take the test.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that sheriff and members of his staff and family took the tests. Three of his staff tested positive for the virus while sheriff tested negative.
