Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the suspension of Adams Oshiomole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives (APC) by a Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The PDP chieftain also shared his views on the resignation of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state from the ruling party on Tuesday.
Recall that a 3-man panel led by the President of the court of appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem upheld a judgement of an FCT High Court granting an application filed by some members of the Edo state APC suspending Oshiomole from office on March 4th.
Justice Dongban-Mensem ruled that Oshiomole’s appeal to his suspension lacked merit and was thrown out for time-wasting.
Also, Governor Obaseki resigned his APC membership over his disqualification from contesting the party’s primaries by a screening committee over discrepancies in his HSC and NYSC certificate.
But in a tweet on Wednesday morning, Fani-Kayode described the drama happening in the ruling APC as a fiction.
He tweeted: “On the day that Obaseki leaves @OfficialAPCNg, the Court of Appeal declares that Oshiomole is no longer Nat. Chairman of the party and Sen. Ajimobi, the man that has been declared Acting Nat. Chairman, ends up in a coma in the hospital. The whole thing is stranger than fiction.”
