2023: Fani-Kayode speaks on alleged conspiracy in APC to support Atiku

A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Saturday dismissed the alleged plan by President Muhammadu Buhari, some northern governors, and major stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), come out victorious in the 2023 election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that there are rumours that some top APC politicians of northern extraction will betray Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling party in the 2023 poll. But Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the APC in Abuja, says it’s all sham.

“To those who believe that Buhari & the Northern Governors & leaders in @OfficialAPCNg are involved in a conspiracy to ensure that @atiku wins the election next year and that they will betray @officialABAT and ensure that he loses, I say the following: no such conspiracy exists,” Fani-Kayode wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu, has expressed optimism that the APC will win the 2023 general election if the conduct is free and fair.

Adamu made the assertion while receiving the Ambassador of Poland to Nigeria, Joanna Tarnawska, in his office recently.
