Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has advised the Nigerian Government to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu does not die in custody.
Kanu was captured by the Nigerian Government and arraigned in court on Tuesday to continue trial for treasonable felony and other charges. Speaking on his arrest, FFK admonished the government to treat him with decency.
“It is no longer news that @MaziNnamdiKanu has been arrested and detained. I advise the FG to ensure that he does not die in custody and that he is treated with decency, decorum and respect,” he tweeted.
It will be recalled that Kanu made headlines in Nigeria on Tuesday afternoon after the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami announced his arrest. He disclosed that Kanu was re-arrested through a combined operation of Nigerian and foreign security agents on Sunday.
