A former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose on Tuesday said he will never join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Fayose last Friday refuted news reports that he had resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the party’s loss in the February 25 presidential election.
Fayose, who asserted that he still remains a PDP member, said that he did not resign from the party but only stepped aside. He had criticised the party’s national leadership.
Expatiating on his political allegiance while speaking on Television Continental’s programme, Your View, on Tuesday morning, the former Ekiti State governor said, “I am not a member of the APC and I will never join the APC”.
He also stated that he will “stand with” president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, “is the man for tomorrow”.
