The pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol has hit N540 per litre in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Monitoring the sale around 8 am and 10:30 am on Wednesday, it was Nation that AY Shafa in Dedei had adjusted its meter to N540/ litre.
Most of the vehicles that queued for the product instantly drove off the lines.
Other retail outlets which were yet to adjust their meters recorded endless queues while they refused to vend the fuel.
The anxiety over the new pump price persisted at the time of filing this report.
